Dr Jeremy Wight

 
Jeremy qualified in Medicine in 1982.  After doing junior medical posts at St Thomas’, Burton-on-Trent and Derby Hospitals, he moved to Sheffield in 1985.  Jeremy worked in Sheffield Hospitals (including doing research into kidney disease) until 1992, when he took up training in Public Health Medicine.
 
From 1996 – 2002, Jeremy was a Consultant in Public Health Medicine at Wakefield Health Authority, and in 2002, moved to become Director of Public Health at the North Sheffield Primary Care Trust (PCT).  In November 2006 he was appointed Director of Public Health for the (newly formed) Sheffield PCT.  This is a joint appointment with the Sheffield City Council.
 
Jeremy is also an honorary senior lecturer in Public Health Medicine at ScHARR, University of Sheffield. 
 
Jeremy lives in Sheffield with his family, and when he has some spare time, he likes to work on his allotment, or get out of the city to go rock-climbing, hill walking or mountaineering.

Dr Sonia Sharp

Sonia Sharp is Executive Director of Children & Young People's Services at Sheffield City Council, having been Director of Children's Services in Rotherham for three years previously.  Building on a background in teaching, research and psychology, Sonia has a proven track record in children’s services in a city context.  She was deputy Chief Executive of Education Leeds – the company established to take the local authority out of special measures and Assistant Director in Birmingham. 
 
Sonia is passionate about improving outcomes for every child in Sheffield.

Tim Woolliscroft

Tim is the Development Officer for Swamp Circus in Yorkshire and a director of ROAR (Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance).  In the past he has travelled the world as a freelance circus/street theatre performer and created shows as the artistic director of Foobar Theatre. 
 
Performance highlights included pre-show entertainment for the Rolling Stones in Sheffield and in the BJC public show to 700 jugglers.  Other past achievements include setting up and leading a circus theatre tour of refugee camps in Croatia Slovenia and Bosnia in 1994.
 
Tim also has an understanding of the urban environment through academic study including a degree in urban planning and MA in Sociology and Social Policy.
