0-19+ Children and Young Peoples Partnership

The 0-19+ Partnership is concerned with accelerating the progress of achievement, engagement, health and well being of young people throughout the city.

The Board's remit is to bring together children and young people and parents/carers with statutory partners, charitable, voluntary and private sector agencies in the city of Sheffield who make a contribution to health, learning, well-being and safety of children from 0-19. Its tasks are to:

  • Support the development of all children's services in order to improve safeguarding and the outcomes for individuals through earlier prevention and intervention.
  • Integrate the efforts of partners and wider agencies through pooled resources, shared planning and seamless ways of working.

It covers all services to children and young people aged 0–19 (and in exceptional cases beyond 19 for looked after children, those with a disability or special educational need).  The Board aims to help to achieve the Every Child Matters outcomes for children and young people:

  •      Being Healthy
  •      Staying Safe
  •      Enjoy and Achieve
  •      Make a Positive Contribution
  •      Achieve Economic Well Being

The partners believe that by working together Sheffield can develop improved services for children and young people in the city.  The Board has the power to recommend its agreed policy to member organisations, each member organisation will remain accountable for its statutory responsibilities.
