Sheffield First Health and Well-being Partnership
The Health and Well-being Partnership provides the lead to develop a widely supported vision for improving health and well-being in Sheffield, produce clear strategies to deliver it and make it happen.
Our aim is to 'Achieve good health and well-being for all our communities’ and for Sheffield to be the healthiest major city in England.
The Health and Well-being Partnership’s remit is to:
- Improve the health of people of all ages and safeguarding, supporting and improving the independence and well-being of adults.
- Champion social inclusion across the whole Sheffield First Partnership and ensure the needs of excluded groups maintain a high profile in our city.
- Promote and embed the World Health Organisation (WHO) ‘Healthy City’ approach in Sheffield - achieving improvement in health for all through a partnership approach that focuses on the determinates of health and involves local people.
It is responsible for:
- Agreeing an annual assessment of what needs to be done to improve Health and Well-being in Sheffield.
- Producing a Sheffield First Health and Well-being Partnership Plan every three years and updating it annually.
- Making sure the plan is delivered.
