Sheffield First Safer and Sustainable Communities Partnership
The Sheffield First Safer and Sustainable Communities Partnership is the city’s Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership with statutory responsibilities established under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. The partnership has a legal responsibility to tackle crime, anti-social behaviour, drug and alcohol misuse, and to enhance feelings of safety delivered through Safer Neighbourhood Teams.
The partnership also oversees the development of sustainable communities by supporting key organisations to increase the number of people in the city who are involved in voluntary activities that make a positive contribution to their communities. These key organisations will help people from different backgrounds and generations get on well together and support people who want to get involved and have a voice within their community.
The Sheffield First Safer and Sustainable Communities Partnership has been formed from the Successful Neighbourhoods Partnership and the Safer Communities Partnership.
