Working with the Our Fair City Campaign and The University of Sheffield, we hosted a major international conference on Fairness at the Showroom/Workstation on Tuesday 8th March.

The conference brought together politicians, professionals and academics from across the country to discuss how cities can work together to tackle the key challenges of reducing inequality.

Click to listen to audio recordings from speakers including Kate Pickett, Author of the Spirit Level, Gorka Espiau from the Young Foundation and Zoe Williams of the Guardian exploring how to promote fairness in the current climate.

January 2016

Over the last year we have been working with the Our Fair City Campaign, Gripple and Sheffield Chamber of Commerce to develop the Sheffield Fair Employer Charter.  On Friday 22nd January we formally launched it with an event at Gripple's head office.

The first initiative of its kind in the country to have been led by businesses, the Fair Employer Charter consists of a series of pledges around working culture and conditions.  There were more than 25 organisations from private, public and VCF sectors signed up at launch with more to come.  You can find out more about the Charter at the Our Fair City website.
